Firefox on a USB Drive from U3

September 28, 2007 by devinhedge

One piece of technology that has become just as ubiqitous to bit-smashers as thier cell phone and laptop is the USB Drive (aka thumb drive, jump drive, etc.) I carry around 4Gb encrypted on my keychain just for that one moment when someone needs to give me some file that is much too large for email. Also on my USB drive is a portable version of Mozilla Firefox with all my extensions. This gets me past all of the limitations of those computers where the owner isn't as enlightened about sufting the web with speed, security and just plain fun.
